British Airways' Disgusting Double Standard

According to a British Airways policy--one that has just been upheld by a British court--an employee cannot wear a dainty gold cross around her neck (or any other kind of cross on any other visible part of her body, for that matter). The cross, you see, is a "religious symbols," and those are strictly verboten in BA ranks.

The restriction doesn't apply to hijabs and turbans, of course. Not because they're not every bit as "religious" as the Christian cross, but because they are sported by those who have been accorded special privileges due to their membership in a minority "victim" group.
