The Hopeychanger IS the Message

Sigh. Seems like only yesterday that the nation was all aswoon for the most eloquent dude in the world. Today, on the cusp of the previously unthinkable--a possible GOP victory in the Lion of Massachusetts's lair --some in the media are surveying the rubble that was once Ozbamamandias ("look upon my works, ye Mighty, and despair!") and asking, "Wha' happened?" WaPo scribbler E.J. Dionne, for one, is convinced that "Obama is losing the message war" because "he has failed to pin the economic crisis on conservatives."

Old Eej has a point. Then again, even if you're the best teleprompter reader in history, it's awfully hard to pin the crisis on conservatives when your own profligate spendaholism has beggared America for generations to come.
