Out of the (European) Fire into the (Middle Eastern) Frying Pan

In a letter published in yesterday's National Post, Canadian Arab Federation chief Khaled Mouammar, e'er on message, complained about Israel's "crimes against the Palestinian people." On the same day, Salim Mansur's Toronto Sun column dealt with a book that Khaled and ASHamed Jews should read but will likely ignore because it clashes with the Arabs-as-victims-Jews-as-victimizers narrative they have so carefully and cunningly crafted:
Giulio Meotti’s new book, A New Shoah, The Untold Story of Israel’s Victims of Terrorism, is painfully compelling and should be read widely, especially by non-Jews.
It is one of those rare books that might move even a few anti-Semites with hearts of stone, and others, to contemplate yet again how evil stalks the land so many believe to be holy.

Meotti is an Italian journalist and author who took upon himself the task of recording stories of Jewish lives lost or maimed because of the relentless terror by Arabs and Muslims since the Second World War. His book is a noble effort to save the names of Jewish victims of terror for posterity, in the same spirit as those who work at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem to preserve the names of Jews who perished in the Holocaust.

More than 1,500 Israelis have died from indiscriminate violence by Palestinian suicide bombings since 2000. Israel is a small country, as Meotti reminds his readers, and the number of Israeli victims would proportionally be equal to more than 60,000 victims in the United States.

The majority of Israeli victims were not men and women in uniform. They were civilians, mostly belonging to the working class, caught unaware as they went about their daily chores.
Their lives were cut short and their families bereaved just because they were Jews...
No, no, no. Not just because they were Jews. Because they were--are--Zionist, colonialist, imperialist, interloping, Occidental occupiers.

Sheesh. What's wrong with that Italian journalist? Didn't he get the Islamolefty memo?

Update: Khaled Mouammar pens an "open letter" to Taliban Jack's missus on an Islamolefty website:
Dear Olivia Chow: It was a pleasure meeting you and Jack at the Palais Royale on Saturday November 27 and discussing with you issues of mutual interest. I will be frank with you and tell you that our community is quite disappointed with the NDP's participation in the Canadian Parliamentary Coalition to Combat anti-Semitism (CPCCA).

The CPCCA is a racist entity since it believes in a hierarchy of types of racism by putting anti-Semitism above all other types of racism, and it ignores racism directed against Indigenous Peoples and racialized groups, and Islamophobia.
The Bloc Québécois called the CPCCA process "tainted and partisan" and withdrew its two MPs, Luc Desnoyers and Eve-Mary Thai Thi Lac, from the committee. You stated that the NDP did not follow suit and withdraw its two members because its policy is not to censor the personal views of its MPs.
With all due respect I do not accept this explanation. In the recent past the NDP demanded and obtained a common stand from all its MPs when the vote was called on the Gun Registry and Mining Ethics Bills, notwithstanding the personal views of some of its MPs.

Regrettably, by allowing the two MPs to continue participating in the CPCCA the NDP turned its back on all other types of racism and failed to send a clear message that they firmly oppose racism.

Khaled Mouammar

National President, Canadian Arab Federation
Khaled has learned his "human rights" lesson well: because they sit atop Canada's official list of victim groups, Arabs/Muslims are allowed to fling unfounded charges about others' "racism" while being overtly hateful/racist themselves.
