Mark It On Your Calendar!

Just wanted to give you a heads-up that next week, on the 21st to be precise, the globe will be celebrating the UN's International Day For the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Actually, that's something of a misnomer, because the day is a kick-off to an entire
week of solidarity with the peoples struggling against racism and racial discrimination, beginning on 21 March.
I don't know about you, but I look forward each year to the UN Elimination of Racial Discrimination week--but in a snickering, ironical sort of way knowing, as I do, that the UN's elimination schemes more often than not focus on the elimination of "racial discrimination" in--and the elimination of--Israel.

Just kidding. Fact is I just became aware of the day/week a few seconds ago, and thought it afforded me the perfect excuse to update Tom Lehrer's cheeky "National Brotherhood Week" (a song I alluded to here):

Oh, the Shias hate the Sunnis
And the Sunnis hate the Shias,
And al Qaeda hates the kafir,
And everybody hates occupying, imperialistic
Holocaust-crazed "Zionist" Jews.

But during "Eliminate Racism" Day,
'Liminate Racism" Day,
Bibi and Mahmoud Abbas say things are A-o.k.
It's fun to genuflect
To concepts you reject
Cuz you get to shed crocodile tears.

Oh, the moderates hate extremists
And extremists have the moderates.
And the cadres of jihadists
Want sharia law to call the shots.

But during "Eliminate Racism" Day,
"'Liminate Racism" Day,
One again we get to do it in the UN way:
Pretend you're virtuous,
Tho' that's so dubious.
It's only for a day, so realize
For three-six-four you get to tell your lies!
