Martin Luther King an "Occupy" Guy?

Barack Obama seems to think he is--or would have been. At the unveiling of an MLK memorial in Washington, Obama portrayed the civil rights leader as an earlier version of...Obama.

Or is it Clinton?
"He calls on us to stand in the other person's shoes; to see through their eyes; to understand their pain," Obama said.
Gee, I thought he called on the government to heed the Constitution and accord equal rights to all. Shows how little I know. But tell us, Barack, how would the empathic one have viewed the class warfare you've ginned up in a desperate bid to hold on to highest office?
"If he were alive today, I believe he would remind us that the unemployed worker can rightly challenge the excesses of Wall Street without demonizing all who work there," Obama said.
Unlike, say, you?

The definition of a demagogue is:

Noun:
  1. A political leader who seeks support by appealing to popular desires and prejudices rather than by using rational argument.
  2. (in ancient Greece and Rome) A leader or orator who espoused the cause of the common people.
3. (in early 21st Century America) Barack Hussein Obama.
