"Appear headed for victory"? You mean someone else could potentially pull out a victory at the last second?

Talk about trying to insert some excitement into a foregone conclusion.

Well, the opposition to the "clerical hard-liners" is waging a low-key campaign from shallow graves in the basement of Kahrizak Prison, . . . but you never know in politics!
