Come Back to the Five and Dime, Gordon Deane, Gordon Deane

In a letter to the Toronto Star, Canada's bleeding heart central, the above named gent conflates Ezra Levant's hesitations about unfettered Roma immigration with--wait for it--Muslim testiness due to a trailer for a comically shoddy film insulting Islam's founder that was broadcast on Youtube:
Re: Stop vilifying Roma refugees, Opinion Sept. 16
I’m saddened to hear that anyone listens to Ezra Levant, the Rush Limbaugh/Glenn Beck of the north.
Seems to me the same type of targeted stereotypes were used by the Nazis to vilify the Jews as owners of all the business in Germany in the 1930s and therefore responsible for the Great Depression. Consequently the Roma paid for that as well. And for the same reasons Mr. Levant suggests.
Now I’m not saying there is not a problem in regard to immigrants arriving from Euro stable countries claiming to be refugees. But, in light of the recent violent Arab demonstrations denouncing that intentionally provocative anti-Islamic excuse to stir up trouble, I would suggest that Mr. Levant do his own historical comparisons before opening his cavernous yap.
Besides, don’t his comments skate perilously close to hate speach? The world needs more people like Christopher Stevens and fewer Ezra Levants.
Gordon Deane, Mississauga
The world needs more Americans who are so certain that the Arab locals love them that they take no special pains to ensure their own protection, and thus end up, a la poor Christopher Stevens, being raped and killed by folks he was certain held a high opinion of him? The world needs fewer mouthy, effronterous Ezras who refuse to fall for the Islamists, not to mention the State Department's, not to mention Barack Obama's, squishy bromides and outrageous dissembling?

If you say so, Gord.
