Iran Gets Big Deal Award From a Morally Bankrupt UN

So what if the country is run by a bunch of fanatical clerics who execute gays for the "crime" of their sexual orientation and who are playing a cat-and-mouse game with Western powers as they aim to build a nuke or two in order to obliterate Israel? The "good" things Iran does deserve to be recognized and rewarded, don't they?:
The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has rewarded Iran for its outstanding progress in overcoming hunger.
FAO Director General José Graziano da Silva delivered an honorary diploma to Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative to the FAO, Seyyed Aminollah Taqavi, for the country’s great strides in combating undernourishment and hunger.
In the last two decades, Iran has managed to reduce the number of people suffering from malnutrition in the country and satisfied the first and most important Millennium Development Goal of eradicating poverty and hunger and food insecurity.
Iran has focused on "pro-poor enhancement of productivity for better food security, nutrition and livelihood of vulnerable groups in rural and urban areas" during recent years, FAO said...
Three cheers for  "pro-poor enhancement of productivity for better food security" (man, who comes up with this clunky phraseology?): Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!
